Prichard in 1844, this remains one of the most beloved hymn melodies, used for many familiar hymn texts including ‘Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus’, ‘Alleluia, Sing to Jesus!’, ‘Love Divine, All Loves Excelling’, and ‘Our Great Savior’, among others. (Tune name: HYFRYDOL) This setting is in A-Major, and includes an newly-composed harmony part.
