Campbell's Farewell Red Gap

A traditional Appalachian/old-time tune very closely related to the popular Scottish 2/4 march (or quickstep), ‘Campbell’s Farewell to Redcastle’. This setting includes a 3rd (C) part familiar to many in the Appalachian/old-time tradition. Written in the key of A-modal (Mixolydian), and adapted for Scottish-style pipes. NB: The grace-notes that appear in this setting are designed to provide more emphasis on the backbeat, in imitation of old-time fiddling styles.
