Description

A traditional Appalachian/Old-Time march directly related to the popular Scottish 2/4 march (or quickstep), ‘Campbell’s Farewell to Redcastle’.  This setting includes a 3rd (C) part familiar to many in the Appalachian/Old-Time tradition.  Written in the key of A-modal (Mixolydian).  Chord symbols included.  (NB: The grace-notes that appear in this setting are designed to provide more emphasis on the backbeat, in imitation of Old-Time fiddling styles.)
