Description

This song began life as a mid-19th-century American cowboy song about the California Gold Rush (and those who died en route), and was later adapted as a shape-note hymn. This particular arrangement is set for voice and smallpipes, and was recorded on The Piper in the Holler album, and published in the ‘How Can I Keep From Singing‘ collection.
